NAME YUI::MenuBar::Markup - Generate YUI markup menus DESCRIPTION YUI::MenuBar::Markup will help you create your YUI menus by using markup (html). It offers a very light interface to create your modules from any kind of data, like *perl raw* (hashes) to even YAML. There are no plans in giving support for creating YUI menus by javascript data. Even, the html genearated doesn't allow modifications such as changing the CSS class name of the items. Please note that the string returned by generated() is the pure javascript to start the menubar and the HTML of the menubar. It's your responsibility to include the CSS and JS files. You can use YUI::Loader for this. SYNOPSYS use strict; use warnings; use YUI::MenuBar::Markup; use YUI::MenuBar::Markup::YAML; my $markup_yaml = YUI::MenuBar::Markup::YAML->new( filename => 'examples/menu_yaml.yaml'); my $markup = YUI::MenuBar::Markup->new( source_ref => $markup_yaml); print $markup->generate(); Attributes source_class If you have your own class (or module) for getting the data of the menu please use this attribute. It should be the module name (*Foo::Bar*) and have the module should have a *new()* method. If your module doesn't have anything of the above please take a look to source_ref. source_ref Similar to source_class but it should be the reference (eg, the object) to the source. The class contained in this refernece should have a method named get_source and should return an array of hashes to be used for building the menu. data The data that will be used for building the menu, should be an array of hashes where top_id The menubar is made of lists (ul, li) and all these lists are contained in a div element. By default the div element ID is automatically generated (with a random number). In case you want to use a different ID just set the value of this attribute to *that*. autosubmenu When the cursor is over a menu that has a submenu, then the submenu will be displayed automatically without clicking on it. This is turned on by default. delay Indicates the time (milliseconds) that should expire before a menu is hidden. In YUI this is known as the *hidedelay*. lazy Modifies the lazyload parameter of the YUI menubar to improve the performance of the menubar by deferring the initialization and rendering of submenus until the first time they are made visible. Methods generate() Builds the HTML and javascript caller for the menu and returns it as a string SEE ALSO * YUI Menu documentation: http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/menu * YUI::Loader AUTHOR Pablo Fischer (pablo@pablo.com.mx).
