Canon	MultiPASS C3500	Color	D	Ink Jet	bjc600	Proprietary	720	360	http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/printer.html	T Using GhostScript 5.1, can get\nreasonable 360x360 output using the\n'bjc600' driver. Doesn't support\nthe faxing/scanning though (although\nI haven't tried SANE yet). Note\nthat you do have to configure the\nprinter to run in 'DOS emulation'\nmode in order to get it to print\nproperly when using this driver.
Canon	MultiPASS C5000	Color	D	Ink Jet	bjc600	Proprietary	720	360	http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/printer.html	T Can be set to DOS emulation: information is not in the manual but is available from the CCSI web site. Still can't do much more than print ASCII, however.
Canon	Multipass C3000	Color	D	Ink Jet	bjc600	Proprietary http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/printer.html	F Actually, I used the bjc610 uniprint driver\nsetting from RedHat's printtool.\nThis multifunction machine ignored me until\nI gave it this magic invocation from \nthe front panel:\n"Function" "0" five-greater-than-signs "Start" "Start"\n(Which corresponds to DOS Printing ON)
Canon	Multipass C5500	Color	D	Ink Jet	bjc600	Proprietary	720	360	http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/printer.html	T This is a multifunction printer that differs from the C3500 only in the fact that the scanner is a color one (in the C3500 it is B&W).\n\nThe documentation that comes with the printer claims that this will not run with NT or Win 3.1. However, the canon site has links to drivers for NT.\nPrinting under non-Win9X systems is accomplished by setting the printer to DOS emulation mode. Under this mode, the printer is driver compatible (according\nto Canon) with several printers including the Epson LQ2550 and LQ2500 and the Canon BJC 4300 and 4400. The resolution in this case is claimed to be the \nmaximum supported by the driver.\n\nI tried it out with the bj600 and it works. Resolution at which it prints is not known. I have not tried the scanner.
Canon	Multipass L6000	BW	F	Laser	N/A	Proprietary	600	600	N/A	F Multifunction device (fax/copier/etc).\n<br>Vendor FAQ says no support for DOS apps at all.\n<br>Matt Berger tried various drivers with no luck.
